The flight attendants of a passenger jet that collided with an Army helicopter near Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. Wednesday were based out of Charlotte, an Association of Flight Attendants spokesperson confirmed to Axios.

Danasia Elder, an African American woman with a deep passion for flying, was remembered by her brother-in-law, Brandon Payne, as 'full of life,' with an unwavering love for God, her children, and travel, reported Yahoo News. In a post on X, Joe Bruno from WSOC9 News wrote:

I have no higher calling than carefully, professionally transporting you today,” the American Airlines pilot said over the plane’s intercom system during a flight Thursday night.
