The Carolina Panthers will not have their star offensive player for today's NFC South showdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers . . . and for next Sunday's NFC South showdown against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Carolina Panthers placed running back Chuba Hubbard on injured reserve, ending his season with two games to go, the team announced Saturday. Hubbard practiced on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable with knee and calf aliments for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Carolina Panthers have shut down leading rusher Chuba Hubbard for the final two games of the season because of a strained calf.
