Cincinnati figures to have an explosive offense with Joe Burrow continuing to throw the ball to Chase and Higgins, but it will struggle to compete with the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens and other AFC contenders if it doesn't take strides on the defensive side.

"A June 30 deadline to exercise the first of five two-year rolling extensions of the Paycor Stadium lease approaches," Dehner Jr. wrote. "It will be an inflection point for keeping the Bengals on The Banks in downtown Cincinnati."

As much as the big story around sports teams in the State of Ohio and their stadiums has focused on the Cleveland Browns, the Cincinnati Bengals could vault them in the seriousness department.
