DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers blanked the Chicago Cubs, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon at Comerica Park to win a weekend showdown between the top teams in each league. The Tigers (43-24) took two of three from the Cubs (40-25), with all three games played in front of sellout crowds.
Current Cubs and former Tigers pitcher Matthew Boyd tipped his cap to the surging Detroit squad amid a solid start in Chicago.
Seeing the Tigers at the top of the leaderboard and Comerica Park filled and raucous again warmed Matt Boyd's heart, even from the Cubs' dugout.
