Police in Mountain View on Monday confirmed the weekend arrest of a man suspected in a deadly DUI hit-and-run collision Sunday morning that fatally injured a pedestrian.

A 6-year-old child was struck and killed Tuesday while riding a bicycle in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The crash happened Sunday morning at the intersection of Amphitheater Parkway and Joaquin Road, authorities said.

The suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Mountain View Sunday was arrested and booked, according to the Mountain View Police Department. Officers were dispatched at 7:15 a.m. to a pedestrian hit and run at the intersection of Amphitheater Parkway and Joaquin Road.
