Elon Musk’s public fight with President Trump are quickly turning the GOP megadonor from a revered MAGA figure to outright outcast, House Republicans said in the wake of the public fighting. Thursday’

Musk backed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016 and former President Joe Biden in 2020, but did work with Trump at times during his first term. He said in 2017 that simply attacking Trump would "achieve nothing," calling for "open channels of communication" with the president.

Musk and his companies, including SpaceX and Tesla, have become intertwined with Texas and leaders like Gov. Greg Abbott and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz.
