A Kuwaiti oil refinery came under Iranian drone attack early Friday and sirens in Israel warned of incoming fire, while explosions boomed over Tehran from Israeli strikes as the country marked the Persian New Year.
Israel's largest oil refinery, in the city of Haifa, was hit with shrapnel from an Iranian attack, according to a person familiar with the matter. No injuries were immediately reported. Videos shared by Israeli media showed large plumes of smoke rising from the refinery.
President Trump said that Israel acted alone when it struck the South Pars gas field in Iran. Trump threatened Iran to halt its attacks on Qatar's facilities or face a "blow up" at South Pars.
