ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Josh Hoover passed for four touchdowns to help TCU beat Louisiana-Lafayette 34-3 on Saturday in the New Mexico Bowl. Hoover was 20 for 32 for 252 yards with an interception. Eric McAlister had eight catches for 87 yards and a TD for the Horned Frogs (9-4).

Hoover, a Rockwall-Heath product, broke a single-season passing record as the Horned Frogs finished the season strong.

TCU played its best football during the second half of the regular season. Louisiana played its worst game of the season in its most recent contest. The Horned Frogs (8-4)

TCU QB Josh Hoover arrived in ABQ on a mission to deliver the purest passing the New Mexico Bowl had ever seen. Horned Frog fiends could not get enough of the high quality play that Hoover delivered on Saturday in the New Mexico Bowl.

Louisiana got a boost with Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year Ben Wooldridge got the green light to play in the New Mexico Bowl. However, his return wasn’t enough to deter TCU from having one of its best defensive performances of the year. The defense pitched a shutout in the first half as the Ragin’ Cajuns were held to just 68 yards.

The TCU Horned Frogs won the 19th Annual Isleta New Mexico Bowl on Saturday afternoon, beating the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns, 34-3. TCU jumped out right away and wouldn’t look back, as they led 27-0 and held Louisiana to just 68 yards of total offense in the first half.
