Less than three months after the trade that shook the basketball world, the Los Angeles Lakers are headed into their first postseason with LeBron James and Luka Doncic atop their roster.

The Los Angeles Lakers secured the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference playoffs, earning them a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the postseason. And superstar Luka Dončić believes the team has the goods to make a title run: The Dončić addition has certainly helped.

For months, the Lakers have confused and angered some the NBA's biggest offensive stars with a defensive scheme no one can quite figure out. It'll be tested again Saturday, when they face off against Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves.

For the first time since they won the NBA Championship in 2020, the Los Angeles Lakers will not have to fight their way through the NBA Play-In Tournament to get into the playoffs.
