Boilermakers point guard Braden Smith turned defense into offense on the first possession and fueled Purdue's bounce back win against Michigan.

After blowing a 16-point lead in their last outing against Ohio State, No. 11 Purdue (16-5, 8-2) came into their home building with murderous intent, and the Wolverines were their victims. The Boilermakers jumped to a 13-2 lead to start the game and never looked back, delivering a 91-64 beatdown of No. 21 Michigan (14-5, 6-2) on Friday night.

Braden Smith had 24 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds and four steals to help No. 11 Purdue rout No. 21 Michigan 91-64 on Friday night. Smith was 10 of 17 from the field and had only one turnover in 37 minutes to nearly join Joe Barry Carroll as the only Purdue players with a triple-double.
