Longtime ESPN and college football analyst Mel Kiper Jr. has released his first mock draft of the 2025 NFL draft season. In the mock, he has the Browns selecting the reigning Heisman winner.

In the latest mock from our Christian D’Andrea — a top-five mini-mock — he had the Browns taking Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders at quarterback. But in Mel Kiper Jr.’s first mock of the year for ESPN, he had Sanders’ teammate Travis Hunter going to Cleveland and Sanders going to the New York Giants at No. 3.

We are getting close to the Super Bowl which means we are only less than 100 days until the NFL draft. One of the next major events the Browns have to look forward to is the draft, where they once again have a first-round pick.

This isn't the first time the Browns have been linked to not taking one of the two quarterbacks. There have been mock drafts that have Cleveland grabbing the best defensive player

The Cleveland Browns had a dramatic year that ended in the fanbase looking ahead to mock drafts by the middle of October. The team had sky-high expectations but finished tied for the worst record in the league.

The Cleveland Browns will have a legitimate shot at selecting the best player in the 2025 NFL draft, Colorado star and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter if they do not get too cute with their pick.
