Shohei Ohtani is normally used to hitting long home runs, but the MLB star found himself in a weird position against the Angels.

According to MLB.com’s Sonja Chen, it was another history making game for the 31-year-old. Since 1961, Ohtani is only the third player to hit into a triple play and hit a go-ahead home run in the ninth inning (or later) in the same game.

With the Los Angeles Dodgers in a rut heading into Wednesday's game against the Angels, first baseman Freddie Freeman is hoping Ohtani can come to the rescue. It has the potential to be a great day for L.A., with Ohtani starting on the mound in addition to his usual hitting responsibilities.
