But its newest original project takes the company out of its wheelhouse of either theatrical animation or Pixar's classic animated shorts, for something in between: a full eight-episode animated series created entirely in-house (the previous Monsters at Work series was not actually created there).

Each of the eight episodes focuses on a different character's perspective in the week leading up to the championship game for an adolescent softball league.

Titled Win or Lose, the Disney Plus exclusive focuses on a middle school softball team named the Pickles in the run-up to a crucial championship game. Each episode focuses on an individual character and their preparations for the match, including the young players, a parent, a coach and the match's umpire.

There's been a fair dose of controversy surrounding the show due to a certain cancelled storyline. However, Disney and Pixar just scored a major win with what many would consider a tremendously underrepresented audience.
