The trailer for "Regretting You" was released on Tuesday. You can watch it here and below. Leading up to the trailer's release, Hoover, along with stars of the film, teased Monday on social media it was on its way. "Regretting You" is based on Hoover's 2019 novel of the same name.

The filmmaker isn't new to book-to-screen adaptations: he is best known for directing the hit 2014 teen romance The Fault in Our Stars, an adaptation of the bestselling novel by John Green that starred Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort .

Regretting You, directed by Josh Boone, stars Allison Williams and McKenna Grace as a mother and a daughter trying to mend their relationship after a personal crisis.
