At its Unpacked event last week, Samsung took the wraps off the Galaxy S25 lineup and spent a majority of the time talking about AI -- a trend in phone announcements these days. Echoing both Google and Apple,

Samsung unveiled its latest Galaxy S25 series of phones with an array of AI features. The modest hardware updates in these flagship phones show a growing emphasis on internal capabilities over external design.

As it was presented, I expected the Galaxy S25+ to change the way I used my phone or at least feel AI aiding the user experience. However, the sales pitch doesn’t match reality, and while many of Samsung’s enhanced AI features sound great on paper, their implementation leaves much to be desired.
