Seven San Antonio police officers were wounded after a shootout with man who was reported to be suicidal late Wednesday night. The suspect has not been identified.

Seven San Antonio police officers were shot while responding to a “suicide in progress” call and the suspect was later found dead inside an apartment after a standoff, the city's police chief said. The officers were shot Wednesday night and a SWAT team was called to the Stone Oak neighborhood,

The unidentified suspect shot an officer who first arrived at the scene then proceeded to shoot six more officers more, the San Antonio Police Department said.
