The New York Mets have lost their ace, Kodai Senga, at least for the time being due to injury. This $13 million Orioles starter could be the best replacement.

New York Mets right-hander Kodai Senga exited Thursday's win against the Washington Nationals ( box score) in the sixth inning after straining his hamstring. After the game, manager Carlos Mendoza announced Senga will head to the injured list and will undergo an MRI on Friday to determine the severity of the injury.

Senga allowed just two base runners in the first 5 1/3 innings before racing to cover first on CJ Abrams’ grounder to Pete Alonso. Senga made a leaping grab of Alonso’s high throw and touched the bag with his right foot on his way down.
