Winter Storm Fern is expected to cause significant travel disruptions due to heavy snow and ice across 33 states in the U.S., affecting up to 180 million people, with impacts starting Friday night and continuing through Monday.

The Postal Service (USPS) is warning that mail delivery could be disrupted in dozens of states due to a severe winter storm.

Winter Storm Fern is forecast to pummel Greater Cincinnati with 8 to 12 inches of snow from Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. A winter storm warning has been issued ahead of a weekend storm which brings the threat of up to a foot of snow and ice in parts of Greater Cincinnati and Ohio.
