John Cena has apparently turned babyface, seemingly bringing an end to the Undisputed WWE Champion’s controversial heel run. This now potentially opens the door for The Rock’s return at SummerSlam 2025.

Despite playing a pivotal role in Cena's heel turn earlier this year, The Rock has been conspicuously absent from WWE programming.

WWE presents the 38th SummerSlam on August 2 and 3, 2025, marking the first two-night edition of the summer’s biggest event. Cody Rhodes will face his arch-nemesis, John Cena, in a street fight, in hopes of avenging his Undisputed WWE Championship loss at WrestleMania 41.
