Tommaso Ciampa spent the past several years in WWE. The last few years of his run were spent on the main roster, where he was floundering in meaningless storylines that didn't do him any favors. Therefore,
Ciampa shocked fans around the world by making his AEW debut on the January 28 episode of Dynamite. Speaking with Rick Ucchino of Sports Illustrated for a new interview, Ciampa said that he’s been eyeing a move to AEW for a long time.
On a night that saw Tommaso Ciampa debut in AEW, here are three things we hated and three things we loved about the 1/28/26 episode of "AEW Dynamite!"
Two-time NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa was one of the most charismatic stars in the Stamford-based promotion's locker room. He had a major hand in the success of the former black and gold brand. However, the global sports entertainment juggernaut arguably failed to book him well, and therefore, fans were never too invested in him.
Upon Tommaso Ciampa’s debut for All Elite Wrestling, he stepped up to the current TNT Champion, Mark Briscoe. They are set to go one-on-one with the title on the line at the 1/31 AEW Collision. Their history dates back to their days together in Ring of Honor.
