Canada and Mexico will work together to try to get the U.S. to cut auto tariffs on imports from the two countries, Mexico’s foreign affairs secretary said Friday at a meeting with his counterpart in Ottawa.

President Trump is indicating that he may punish Canada over wildfire smoke that’s drifted into the U.S. further inflaming tensions.

President Trump threatened more tariffs on Canada for wildfires that have blanketed large parts of the Midwest and East Coast in smoke in recent days.
