Parts of southern Texas are at risk of “significant to locally catastrophic flash flooding” as slow-moving storms dump heavy rain on the region through Thursday.
The bull's-eye for the heaviest rainfall has been west of I-35, where some communities have received more than a foot of rainfall since Monday.
As of 4 a.m. Thursday, 24 roads remained closed across Bexar County after days of heavy rain triggered flooding, water rescues and widespread travel disruptions.
The clogged combined sewer pipe is one of two that empty into Lake Michigan. MMSD says it's unclear how long the pipe has been obstructed.
The evening commute could be impacted as another round of heavy rain moves into San Antonio.
