Through the first two periods against the Penguins, the Leafs put up their ugliest performance yet. Their lack of urgency in the second period was appalling: the Penguins had 34 shot attempts in the middle frame in all situations. The Leafs had just seven.

John Tavares stole the puck from MacKenzie Weegar and got it to Matthew Knies, who fed Domi for a shot from the right face-off circle to make it 4-3.
