AP Top 25: Notre Dame back in top ten after six-game winning streak
Notre Dame reentered the top 10 for the first time in two months after extending its winning streak to six with a convincing 25-10 victory over Boston College. The Fighting Irish climbed two spots in the poll. Losses by Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Miami created openings for BYU, up to No. 8, and Texas Tech, which jumped to No. 9.
Notre Dame didn't have its best showing Saturday at Boston College, but it got all sorts of help regarding the CFP.
The college football world was rocked this week as former Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly was fired from LSU after three straight losses, including a blowout to Texas A&M. The move reportedly comes with a $53 million buyout — one of the largest this season in college football.
The Fighting Irish have won six straight, and this weekend’s victory over Boston College boosted them two spots in the poll. Meanwhile, Indiana remains ranked No. 2.
