The Sundown softball team will look to repeat as state champion when it faces Shiner in a rematch of the 2025 title game. The Roughettes won that meeting 9-3. Each team survived a three-game series to advance.

For the first time, Saluda Softball is coming home with a state championship trophy. Thursday night, the Lady Tigers defeated Chesterfield 3-0 in Game 2 of the South Carolina High School League. A 7-1 win over Chesterfield on Monday gave Saluda the chance to clinch the championship on Thursday.
