The NWS has issued a winter weather advisory for Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties from Sunday morning into the afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued an extreme cold warning for all of Wisconsin. In southeastern Wisconsin, the extreme cold warning will be in effect from midnight Thursday until 1 p.m. Friday.

Lake-effect snow may develop along the southeast Wisconsin shoreline, from Milwaukee southward. This could bring light to accumulating snow late tonight through Sunday morning. Forecasts show a 20–40% chance of snow, which could add to the cold and cause travel or daily disruptions.

The winter weather advisory will be in effect from 9 p.m. Jan. 20 until 6 a.m. Jan. 21.

A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for all of southeast Wisconsin from midnight through noon Monday because of dangerously low wind chill values. Temperatures overnight are expected to fall below zero,

More snow is on the way this evening.   Snow spreads across southeast Wisconsin around 9 p.m. and continues much of the night.   It looks like the heaviest snow lines up along the Illinois state line.
