In fact, Ferrari have slipped even further back from McLaren since the end of the 2024 campaign when both teams were fighting for the constructors' championship at the last race of the season in Abu Dhabi. McLaren now currently lead the Maranello outfit by a mammoth 238 points .

Christian Horner has already spoken on a potential move to Ferrari as the team principal is sacked after 20 years at Red Bull Racing.

Horner was relieved of his duties as Red Bull F1 CEO on Wednesday in a shock announcement. The 51-year-old won six constructors’ and eight drivers’ titles with the team but fell out with sections of senior management towards the end of his tenure.
