AAP has announced expansion of its current pension scheme. The scheme promises that citizens between the ages 60 and 69 will get Rs 2000 per month. For those aged 70 and above and also those aged 60-69 from SC/CT and minority communities will get Rs 2500 per month.

BJP national president JP Nadda has also assured that all ongoing welfare schemes, which include free electricity of up to 200 units and free bus rides for women, will continue if the BJP forms government in the national capital.

The ruling Aam Aadmi Party, the BJP and the Congress have lined up a slew of promises ahead of the February 5 polls in Delhi.

In response, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said, “AAP leaders, along with several ministers and senior leaders, are sensing defeat. Instead of focusing on contesting the elections together, AAP leaders are preparing to blame their defeat on the BJP and the Election Commission.
