The BJP on Saturday released its first list of 29 candidates for the 70-seat Delhi Assembly elections, featuring prominent leaders including Parvesh

National office-bearers Dushyant Kumar Gautam and Ashish Sood have been fielded from Karol Bagh and Janakpuri, respectively. Arvinder Singh Lovely will contest from Gandhi Nagar, while former AAP leader Kailash Gahlot is the candidate for Bijwasan.

The BJP has named 29 candidates in its first list. The 70-member Delhi Assembly will go into polls in 2025 but the Election Commission of India is yet to announce the dates. As per reports, the polls might be conducted in February this year.

Former South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri is set to challenge Chief Minister Atishi in Kalkaji, while ex-AAP minister Kailash Gahlot has been fielded from Bijwasan, moving away from his traditional Najafgarh seat.
