Pittsburgh Steelers first-round draft pick Derrick Harmon’s mother, Tiffany Saine, died shortly after Pittsburgh selected the defensive lineman from Oregon with the 21st overall pick.

Pittsburgh Steelers first-round pick Derrick Harmon will wear No. 99 with the team, they announced on Saturday. That number was previously worn by Larry Ogunjob i previously wore that number and is most synonymous with former Steelers defensive lineman Brett Keisel.

The Steelers drafted Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon with the 21st overall pick. Harmon then went to the hospital to share the news with his mother, Tiffany Saine, who was on life support. The Steelers confirmed Friday night that Saine died shortly after Harmon arrived.
