According to rumors, Elon Musk is interested in acquiring Intel. It is also said that Qualcomm and Global Foundries are somehow involved in the deal.

Citi trimmed its price target on Intel stock this morning, while HSBC upgraded the stock. Both banks believe Intel stock is overpriced today, yet curiously advise investors to hold the stock anyway. This is bad advice.

Shares of Intel (INTC) have trailed the broader markets by a significant margin in recent years. In fact, Intel stock touched an all-time high during the dot-com boom and has burnt investor wealth for over two decades.
