Bournemouth striker Evanilson is set for a spell on the sidelines after having surgery on his broken foot. The Brazil forward was substituted in the closing stages of Saturday's 1-0 win against Everton.

Evanilson was replaced in the 82nd minute by Philip Billing after complaining of some discomfort in the narrow victory. Bournemouth have now released a statement to confirm that Evanilson has undergone surgery after medical tests revealed that he had sustained a broken foot.

Within days, Bournemouth lost both of their main strikers for long spells and must now find a way to keep the momentum going through alternative solutions.
