Fenerbahce last played in the old group stage of the Champions League in the 2008-09 season, and its biggest rival, Galatasaray, has already qualified.

Feyenoord were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. The Rotterdammers lost 5-2 against Fenerbahce in Istanbul after having won the first game 2-1. Robin Van Persie’s side will now play in the UEFA Europa League this season.
