Nearly 10 inches of snow fell in the Bloomington area on Sunday and Monday, and forecasters expect the snow to remain for a while. Jason Puma, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, said the snow probably will stick around through the whole week or beyond.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Louisville has issued a Winter Storm Warning for every county in the WHAS11 viewing area from 4 a.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday. Heavy snowfall will occur Friday afternoon bringing an additional 3-6 inches of snow across central Kentucky and 1-3 inches in southern Indiana.
