The 37-year-old veteran is dealing with back soreness and has now missed his second straight week of training camp. When asked about Stafford’s status, head coach Sean McVay didn’t offer much clarity.

Garoppolo signed with the Rams in 2023 after an injury-filled year with the Las Vegas Raiders. He played in just one game — starting the regular-season finale against the Seattle Seahawks. He went 27-for-41 for 334 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
