Disney's acquisition of NFL Network and RedZone gives the company unprecedented control over America's most popular sport.

ESPN is acquiring the NFL Network and other NFL media assets, including the linear rights to the league's popular RedZone channel, in a deal that will see the NFL get a 10% equity stake in the all-sports network,

According to Goodell, RedZone would remain an in-house production for the NFL. Just instead, it will air on ESPN-owned platforms. Under that arrangement, ESPN wouldn't actually be able to change the content we see on RedZone. It would almost seem like ESPN is just simulcasting the typical version of RedZone.
