The Cannes Film Festival has played host to the directorial debuts of three stars. The films from Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Stewart and relative newcomer Harris Dickinson are very told but the fulfillment of longtime dreams of being behind the camera.

Scarlett Johansson said in an interview at the Cannes Film Festival that she would be open to potentially directing a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie when asked if she would consider directing a major action movie or Marvel film.

It’s not easy for a Marvel star to avoid being the center of attention, but Scarlett Johansson seemed to be using every ounce of her being to step out of the spotlight — even as an entire theater rose to applaud her entrance at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday afternoon.
