At least one person has died as tornadoes tear through neighborhoods outside Houston, driven by intensifying severe thunderstorms, while a parade of atmospheric river-fueled storms batters the West. The person who died was in northern Brazoria County where four others were injured,

Parts of southwest Texas saw a handful of tornadoes Thursday that caused some property damage, but no reported serious injuries. More severe storms are in the forecast for the area this weekend.
