Arsenal face West Ham looking to turn up the pressure on title rivals Liverpool. After Liverpool were held to a draw at Aston Villa on Wednesday, Arsenal can cut their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points before the leaders travel to Manchester City on Sunday.

So Mikel Merino starts after his super-sub appearance off the bench against Leicester. He replaces Raheem Sterling in attack, joining Ethan Nwaneri and Leandro Trossard. The other change sees Riccardo Calafiori replace Myles Lewis-Skelly at left back.

Arsenal know a win against West Ham tomorrow is a must if they want to overhaul Liverpool in the title race. The Reds’ 2-2 draw at Aston Villa in midweek has opened the door ever so slightly for Mikel Arteta’s men and victory over the Hammers will move them within five points of the Merseysiders, who face Manchester City on Sunday.
