Luckily, the issue doesn’t seem to affect older Logitech mice, as my M705 mouse worked fine right away in OS X El Capitan.

So I picked up a M705 laser mouse. The problem is getting the tracking right. I spent 20 minutes trying to tweak the OS X settings and the Logitech driver to my liking, but I couldn't get it right.
