The Washington Capitals are staying busy during the Olympic break. On Tuesday, they reached a two-year contract agreement with goalie Mitch Gibson. It's a two-way deal for Gibson, who has been in the Capitals' organization but hadn't signed a multi-year deal until now.
Wilson went to hit Crinon on the end boards seconds after a face-off in France's zone. The two tangled, gloves came off, Crinon held Wilson down and tried to throw a few punches with each linesperson trying to break it up. Eventually, a helmetless Wilson got up, circled the officials and was able to pull Crinon down to the ice.
The sweaters will be worn during warmups on Black History Night, which will take place on Friday Feb. 27, at Capital One Arena.
Right now, the Capitals, who won four of their final five games before the break, sit four points out of a tie for third in the Metropolitan Division and four out of a Wild Card spot.
