Vivek Ramaswamy may not be out of the running of candidates who could fill Vice President-elect JD Vance's vacated Senate seat.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, who is responsible for appointing an interim successor to Vance, recently met with Ramaswamy at the Governor’s Mansion in Columbus to discuss the Senate vacancy. Sources indicate that Trump has also encouraged Ramaswamy to join the Senate.

The co-leader of the “Department of Government Efficiency” could move to replace JD Vance in the Senate, though other contenders remain.
