On the same day the Jaguars scheduled an interview with Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, the team has also put in a request for Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson -- who is seen as the top star in this year's coaching cycle.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have requested permission to speak with Lions OC Ben Johnson about their vacant head coaching position.

The coordinator would have the chance to work with Trevor Lawrence and promising young receiver Brian Thomas Jr.

The Jaguars also have interviewed Tampa Bay Buccaneers OC Liam Coen, former New York Jets coach Robert Saleh, Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, Kansas City Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo and Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson and DC Aaron Glenn.
