Stay informed on the Yankees as they navigate a slow offseason amid trade talks involving high-profile names like this Brewers All-Star pitcher.
New York Yankees fans have been hoping all winter that their team would swing a big trade for a starting pitcher like Milwaukee Brewers star Freddy Peralta, but that might not happen. In fact, the Yankees might not complete a trade for a pitcher at all.
"A Bichette signing would thus open trade avenues -- potentially for a starting pitcher, with the Yanks having expressed interest in the Brewers’ Freddy Peralta and the Nationals’ MacKenzie Gore, among others. That holds true for a Bellinger reunion as well, considering Jasson Domínguez would be dislodged in left field."
After the Brewers were swept by the Dodgers in the NLCS, The Athletic reported that the team was expected to “at least field offers” for Peralta, who has one year, $8 million remaining on his contract before hitting free agency after this season.
