President Trump and more than a dozen of his allies were charged with offenses in Georgia relating to the 2020 presidential election.

A judge has dismissed the Georgia election interference case against President Donald Trump and others after the prosecutor who took over the case said he would not pursue the charges.

The state charges were the last remaining criminal case against the US president stemming from the 2020 election.

On Sunday, voters will choose between a left-wing presidential candidate and two conservatives, one backed by President Trump. The results are likely to be bitterly contested.

The Fulton County election interference case against President Trump and others has been dismissed after the prosecutor who took over the case asked that it be dropped.

Pete Skandalakis, who took over the case after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was disqualified, said the case was "without precedent."

State criminal election fraud charges against President Donald Trump in Georgia were dropped at the request of the new prosecutor on the case.
