BUFFALO, N.Y. - Goaltender Dustin Tokarski will face one of his former teams on Wednesday when the Carolina Hurricanes take on the Buffalo Sabres.

Tokarski stopped 21 of 24 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Sabres. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Buffalo is tied for 12th offensively with 3.02 goals per game, but the Sabres have a woeful 16-22-5 record, which puts them in the Eastern Conference basement.

The Carolina Hurricanes couldn't mount a comeback against the Buffalo Sabres as a Ryan McLeod hat trick was the difference in a 4-2 loss.

The Sabres survived despite becoming the first team in NHL shot tracking history (to 1965) to score a goal in a 20-minute period without a shot on goal.
