The New England Patriots interviewed Chargers passing game coordinator Marcus Brady for their offensive coordinator vacancy on Saturday.  Brady drew interest from the Patriots for their vacancy this offseason before they hired Josh McDaniels.

The Patriots are bringing back Josh McDaniels for his third go-around as the offensive coordinator, according to multiple reports on Tuesday. McDaniels held the same role from 2006-2008 after working his way up from a personnel assistant and then again from 2012 to 2022.

The New England Patriots are reportedly adding yet another familiar coaching face this offseason, as Josh McDaniels makes another return to Foxborough as offensive coordinator.

According to a source, the Patriots interviewed Josh McDaniels for their vacant offensive coordinator job. McDaniels, 48, has never worked on the same staff as Vrabel but he was a coach in New England when the former outside linebacker played.

Josh McDaniels is the offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots once again. McDaniels has been hired by New England after interviewing with new head coach Mike Vrabel for the role on Tuesday.

McDaniels returns to a familiar job. He previously held that role from 2006-08 before becoming the Broncos’ head coach and from 2012-21 before taking over the Raiders.

Josh McDaniels is joining Vrabel’s coaching staff as New England’s offensive coordinator, according to multiple sources. A six-time Super Bowl champion as an assistant coach, McDaniels is best known as Bill Belichick’s longtime offensive playcaller.
