Tyrese Maxey scored 43 points and rookie VJ Edgecombe added 26 as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Orlando Magic 136-124.

The Philadelphia 76ers and Chicago Bulls are currently the only two undefeated teams remaining in the Eastern Conference. Joel Embiid is back on the court, although he is limited by a minutes restriction. Stars Paul George and Jared McCain are yet to make their season debuts, so the 76ers are expected to only get better.

The 76ers were never equipped for a part-time Embiid before. There are still areas in which it will be a struggle -- most notably defense. But the 76ers have never come close to this sort of shot-creation depth, and that at least offers a pathway to building a viable offense without Embiid on the floor.

The Philadelphia 76ers looked to stay undefeated on the season at home against the Orlando Magic in the third game of the season. They’d be without Joel Embiid tonight, as they continue to manage his knee.
