The Commanders took an overtime victory over the Falcons on Sunday Night Football behind a strong performance from rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Atlanta Falcons coach Raheem Morris admitted after Sunday’s overtime loss to the Washington Commanders that it might have been wise to use a timeout on the team’s final drive of regulation.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris used 22 of his available 34 seconds to rush a play with the clock running while sitting on two timeouts in a 30-24 loss to the Commanders. Darnell Mooney was down by contact with 34 seconds to go in the fourth quarter and the Falcons tied 24-24.

Perhaps the most frustrating part of the Atlanta Falcons' narrow Sunday Night Football loss to the Washington Commanders was poor coaching down the stretch. At least Falcons head coach Raheem Morris owned up to one of his biggest gaffes of the night.
