Ford said a fire at an aluminum factory will lower profits in the last three months of the year. The company also said it has stopped making an electric version of its popular F-150 pickup.
Ford is adding extra workers and taking other measures to meet “strong” customer demand for its F-Series pickup trucks, while making up for production losses stemming from a fire at an aluminum supplier’s plant.
